Terms of Service

By accessing or using SyncEvent (“the Service”), operated by SyncEvent at sync-event.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

These Terms apply to all users of the Service, including venue managers, event professionals, and vendors who access event timelines via magic links.

SyncEvent is a real-time event timeline management platform that allows venue managers and event professionals to:

• Create and manage event timelines with milestones
• Share live, read-only timeline views with vendors via magic links
• Track and update milestone statuses in real time
• Coordinate events without requiring vendors to create accounts

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time with reasonable notice.

To use SyncEvent as a venue manager, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Provide accurate, complete, and current account information
• Maintain the security of your password and account credentials
• Promptly notify us of any unauthorized access to your account
• Register only one account per venue unless expressly permitted

You are solely responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. SyncEvent will not be liable for any loss resulting from unauthorized use of your account.

• All paid plans are billed monthly and renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date
• A valid credit card is required to start the 7-day free trial. You will not be charged until the trial ends
• If your payment fails, we will notify you by email. Continued failure to pay may result in suspension or downgrade of your account
• Prices are listed in USD and may be subject to applicable taxes depending on your location
• We reserve the right to change pricing with at least 30 days’ notice to existing subscribers

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you will retain access to the Service until that date.

Refund Policy: All payments are non-refundable. We do not offer pro-rata refunds for unused portions of a billing period. If you believe you have been charged in error, contact us within 14 days at privacy@sync-event.com and we will review your case.

Free trial users who cancel before the trial ends will not be charged.

You agree not to use SyncEvent to:

• Violate any applicable law or regulation
• Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit access to the Service
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the platform
• Upload or transmit harmful, offensive, or illegal content
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure
• Use the Service to send spam or unsolicited communications to vendors
• Impersonate another person or entity

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without prior notice.

SyncEvent allows you to generate magic links that grant read-only access to your event timeline without requiring a login. You acknowledge and agree that:

• You are solely responsible for controlling who you share magic links with
• Anyone in possession of a magic link URL can view the associated event timeline
• SyncEvent is not responsible for unauthorized access resulting from shared or leaked magic links
• You should regenerate a new magic link immediately if you believe an old one has been compromised

Vendors who access timelines via magic links are not bound by these Terms as account holders, but must not misuse or redistribute the information they access.

The SyncEvent platform, including its design, code, features, and branding, is owned by SyncEvent and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or create derivative works from any part of the platform without our express written permission.

You retain full ownership of the event data, timelines, and content you create within SyncEvent. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store and process your data solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

Your use of SyncEvent is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of your data as described in the Privacy Policy.

We strive to keep SyncEvent available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access to the Service. We may perform scheduled or emergency maintenance that temporarily affects availability. Where possible, we will provide advance notice of planned downtime.

SyncEvent is not liable for any damages or losses resulting from downtime, outages, or service interruptions beyond our reasonable control.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if we determine, in our sole discretion, that you have violated these Terms or engaged in conduct harmful to SyncEvent, other users, or third parties.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SyncEvent shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, including but not limited to:

• Loss of revenue, profits, or business opportunities
• Event disruptions or failures caused by reliance on the platform
• Unauthorized access to or alteration of your data
• Any third-party conduct or content accessed through the Service

Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to SyncEvent in the 12 months preceding the claim.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

SyncEvent does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. You use the Service at your own risk.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it shall be submitted to binding arbitration or the courts of competent jurisdiction. You agree to bring any claim within one (1) year of the cause of action arising, or such claim will be permanently barred.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will notify account holders by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of SyncEvent after updated Terms are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service and cancel your subscription.
